Dangerous Ishhq is one such film which revolves around the lives of two couples. One woman is married to an arrogant man, while another marries her true love, only to find out later that he has gambling problems. The film starts with the shift of Javed (Piyush Mishra) and his family to the new house.There are many things that happen at this moment. First, Javed is shown towards his wife, Shanti (Rajshri Jaykar). He behaves like a tyrant who loves to be in control all the time. He is not good at handling problems and gets angry so easily. He puts her on a short leash walks around with her, only to beat her when she tries to do something independently. Then comes Shanti's struggle against her husband's behaviour, which leads them both near divorce. This is just one event that happens in the lead-up of the film . The second event is that of Javed's friend, Iqbal (Sanjay Mishra), who gets married to his lover, Sudha (Mona Ambegaonkar). Within a day of marriage, Iqbal finds out that his wife has some gambling problems. He asks her to stop it, but she refuses. She claims that this is the only way how she copes with the circumstances. But when the things start getting worse and Iqbal's business starts suffering because of it, he breaks all ties with Sudha and leaves her. This leaves her heartbroken and devastated because she genuinely loved him and still can't understand why he left her like this. The third event is that of a man, Raghu (Rajat Kapoor), who is already married to a woman named Chandni (Tillotama Shome). He leaves his wife some day to start a new life with his true love. But she, on her part, refuses him at first. She says that she will not leave her husband and children for him. He goes away, though broken-hearted and returns home, only to find out that his wife has been cheating him. His heartbroken soul meets Sudha's broken soul and gradually they start bonding with each other. They both need help from each other and this friendship gives them support. Once Iqbal and Raghu meet each other by chance and start discussing their respective situations. They slowly realize that they have a lot in common. Sudha slowly realizes that she is in love with Iqbal and vice versa, though they never accept it to themselves. This leads to lots of confusion but realization. In the meanwhile, Shanti decides to get back with Javed, but he refuses her offer by saying that she will get his life destroyed again, because the only way how he can control her is by beating her. Then Shanti runs into Chandni who agrees to help out with divorce only if she teaches Javed a lesson for his behaviour towards women in general.
